Calle Van Horne No. 1 e/ República y Avellaneda, Camagüey, Cuba. Founded in the early 20th century in Camagüey, the Hotel Plaza is the oldest working hotel in the city. It still maintains most of its original architecture. Site of an obligatory visit in the city, this facility is proud to have once welcomed Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral as a guest and as a curiosity, the hotel was also the site of the first broadcast of a Cuban radio station outside of Havana. Intimate and appealing, this hotel is known for the friendly treatment by its employees and by its excellent geographical location, at the intersection of the city’s two main streets and just a few meters away from its commercial hub. |
