The Horizontes Guamá Hotel, a replica of a Taíno Indian village built on piles in a lagoon, is located on 12 islets linked by canals over quiet waters.The Hotel cabanas were built using precious woods and palm leaves for the roofs. You may go from one place to another walking over the bridges or taking a boat to really enjoy the beautiful landscape. Many sculptures by outstanding artist Rita Longa recreate the activities of the Taíno Indians on an islet, giving the place a very attractive, peculiar touch.
Guamá tourist offers include day and night activities, visit to the crocodile-breeding farm at the entrance to the lagoon, the largest farm of its kind in the Caribbean and the second largest in the world, trout fishing with light gear and bird watching with the assistance of specialized guides. |
